Date were collected in cooperation <br />with the W-Y, Frenchman, Central Yuma, Sand Hills, Marks Butte, Arikazee and Plains Ground <br />Water Management Districts, the U.S. Geological Survey and local well owners and users. Funding <br />for this project was supplied in part from well permit fees collected and managed by the Office of <br />� the State Engineer as a result of the passage of Senate Bill 200 during the 19871egislative session. <br />This bill authorized the �ffice of the State Engineer to establish and maintain a wa�er level <br />monitoring neCwork throughout the state to obtain information on ground water conditions, to <br />establish ground water trends and to manage the ground water resources of the state. <br />� The data aze tabulated by location within each ground water management di.strict or within <br />counties where no management district exists. T`he appendices contain infarmation concerning well <br />identification, location, owne�s name, land surface elevation, permit number, water level data since <br />1987, remarks and the change in water �evel between the 1992 and 1993 measurements as well as <br />a four year change between measurements made in 1988 and the present measurements. Also <br />included are representative hydrographs for approximately five percent (5°/v) of the measured wells <br />� along with a location map. Fowr hydrographs are also included in Appendix L for wells monitored <br />by the USGS which have continuous recorders installed. In addition a map showing areas where <br />water le�els declined during the Iast year is included in Appendix M along with a copy of the <br />comparable map from past two years. <br />� Copies of this report are a�ailable for inspection in the offices of the local ground water <br />management districts as well as the �ffice of the State Engineer. Copies can be purchased from the <br />Office of the State Engineer, 1313 Sherman Street, Room 821, Den�er, Colorado 8�2Q3 for a fee <br />of $ 5.00 to cover the cost of printing and handling. Summary reports will be made a�ailable at <br />no cost to each well owner whose well was measured.
