KIOWA BIJOLJ DESIGNATED GROUND WATER BASIN <br />March 200fi <br />This report represents water level measurement data for the North Kiowa-Bijou Ground <br />Water Management District for the 2005 season. The project was performed in cooperation with <br />the Management District and with I�cal weli owners. Funding for the project is supplied in part <br />from well permit fees collected and managed by the Office of the State Engineer as a cash fund <br />designated for use in obtaining ground water information throughout the state. <br />A total of 35 wells were measured during the month of February 2006. These wells are all <br />part of the observation well network that has been measured for many years. Records on at least <br />one well date back to 1936, howe�er, measurements from most of the wells date from the 195D's <br />and 19fi�'s. <br />Water le�el changes for 35 wells measured between 2005 and 2�06 range from a decline <br />of 1.99 feet in KB-1 S, to a rise of 4.93 feet in KB-38. The a�erage change between the 2005 and <br />200fi measurements is a decline of �.22 feet, compared to a decline of 0.56 feet between the <br />2004 and 2�D5 measurements. The average rate of change in water le�els for the last fi�e years <br />has been a decline of 0.64 feet per year, and the average rate of change in ground water levels <br />for the last 1 D years has been a decline of 0.53 feet per year. <br />Tabular data in this report are presented for each well for the previous 1 � years. <br />Graphical data are presented for the entire period of record. Information conceming bedrock <br />wefls for the Den�er Basin Aquifers will generally be available in June vf each year and can be <br />obtained from the �ffice of the State Engineer. Complete tabular data for the Kiowa-Bijou <br />Designated Ground Water Basin are available by calling the �ffce of the State Engineer. <br />Copies of #he report can be purchased from the 4ffice of the State Engineer, Records <br />Section, 1313 Sherman St., Room 821, Den�er, C4 80203, (3D3) 86fi-3447.
