This report cvntains the basic ground water lerrel data collected in the Camp
Greek Designated Ground Water Basin during the period from April 1993 through
February 203. Pre - 1993 water level nformation has also been inciuded where
aailable. The pre -1993 data is generally taken from well completion reports or
pump installation reports submitted by drilling or pump installation contractors at
the time the well was constructed oc a permanent pump installed.
Acquisition and publication of this information is a cooperative effort etween the
Colorado Ground Water Commission and the Coiorado Diision of Water
Resources. The project is a part of a statewide ground wa#er leve!-monitoring
program funded by Senate Bill 200 (1987 legislatie session). This legislation
directed that a portion of the fees collected for water well permits shall be used
for the establishment ofi a program to monitor water leel trends throughout the
state.
Water feel da#a and hydrographs from 1 wells locafed in the Camp Creek
Designated Ground Water Basin in Washington County are presented in this
report. Water ieel measurements in these wells were made on February 1 D,
2003. All of the Camp Creek wells monitored are located in Townships 2 and 3
North, Range 54 West of the G P.11Jl. The wells are listed by section, township,
and range, heginning with the northern-most wells and proceeding sou#h. The
locations of all of the wells measured have been detemn+ned by GPS satellite
g#obal positioning system) and this data in UTM Grid coordinates is inciuded.
Footage distances from section lines for all well locations are also included. The
dashed lines on the hydrographs indicate periods when no annual water level
measurements were taken.
For the 2002 - 2003 period, the 1 wells, including one well with an increase in
water level, showed an average decline in water levels of 0.81 of a foot. The
change in water levels ranged from a maximum decline of 3.13 feet in Camp
Creek 6 to an increase vf 5.54 feet in Camp Creek 1. Since routine water leel
monitoring began in 993, the 1 wells show an aerage total decline through
February 2003 of 6.29 feet. Indiidual wate ieel deciines during the last eleve-
year period of record range from a low of 3.0 feet to a maximum of 11.49 feet.
ne well, Camp Creek No.1 shvws an increase in the static water leel of 3.66
feet fvr #he same period. Because of the range of dates ot first reported water
leels, pre-1993 data hae not been included in the aerages.
The information in this report was compiled, edited, and prepared for publicativn
by Glenn Graham.
Copies of this report are made avaifable to management district and the well
owners or their representaties free of charge.
