This report contains the basic ground water leel data collected in the Camp
Creek ❑esignated Ground Water Basin during the period from Aprii 1993 tirough
February 201. Pre - 1993 water level information has also been included where
available. This pre - 1993 data is generally taken from wel completion reports or
pump installation reports submitted by drilling or pump installation contractors at
the time the well was constructed or a permanent pump installed.
Acquisition and publication of this information is a cooperative effort between the
Coforado Ground Water Commission and the Colorado Division of Water
Resources. The project is a part of a statewide ground water Eeel monitoring
program funded by Senate Bill 200 (198? legislative session}. This egislation
directed that a portion of the fees collected for water well permits shall be used
for the establishment of a program to monitor water leel trends throughout the
state.
Water level data and hydrographs from 10 wells located in the Camp Creek
Designated Ground Water Basin in Washingtan County are presented in this
report. Mr. Glenn Graham of this office took water leel measurements in these
wells on February fi, 200. All of the Camp Creek wells monitored are located in
Townships 2 and 3 North, Range 54 West of the 6h P.M. The wells are listed by
section, township, and range, beginning with the northern-most welis and
proceeding south. The locations of al of the wells measured have been
determined by GPS (satellite global positioning system} and thts data in UTM
Grid coordinates is included. Footage distances from section lines for all well
locations is also included. The dashed lines on the hydrographs indicate periods
when no annual water leel measurements were taken.
For the 1999 — 20D1 period, the 10 wells, including one well with an increase in
water level, showed an aerage decline in water levels of 1.29 feet. The change
in water levels ranged from a maximum decline of 3.09 feet in Camp Creek 6 to
an increase vf 0.43 of a foot in Camp Creek 4. Since routine water leel
monitoring began in 1993, the 1 we11s show an aerage total decline through
February 2D01 of 4.98 feet. The basin wide average annual decline for the 7-
year period is 0.624 feet. Because of the range of dates of first reported water
leels, pre-1993 data hae not been included in the aerages.
The information in this report was compiled, edited, and prepared for pubiication
by Glenn Graham.
Copies of this report are made available to management district and the well
owners or their representaties free of charge. Additional copies may be
obtained from the Colorado Division of Water Resources, Public Records Section
for $1.50 each.
