This report represents the results vf water level measurements of wetls in the Lost
Creek Designated Basin made during the month of March 1999. This project was done in
cooperation with the Los Creek Ground Water Managemen# District and Iocal well owners.
Funding for this project was supplied in part from wetl pemnit fees collected and managed by
the ffice of the State Engineer as a result of the passage of Senate Bilf 200 during the 1987
legislatie session.
A total vf finrenty welis were measured. Changes in water level for the alluviat aquifier
range from a decline of 2.62-feet in T1 N, R63W, Sec. 76, to a rise of 0.7-feet in T3N, R62W.,
Sec. 14. The average far the entire basin is a decline of 0.90-feet as compared with a rise of
0.4? feet during the previous year. The average annual change for the ten-year period 1990 to
1999 was a deciine of 0.56-feet or a decline of less than 0.1-feet per year. Although local
aria#ions of a few feet have been noted from year to year, the basin has remained fairly
constant over the 12 years that the Division has measured wells.
The table oi water level measurements included in this report is organized by location.
Information presented includes, location, #he 1988 through 1999 measurements and change
between 1998 and 1999 as well as the change from 1990 to 1999. Also included are
hydrographs for most wetls, which contain the entire, well record of ineasurements.
Copies o this report are being made aailable tv well owners for their assistance in this
project.
