WATER LEVELS IN THE DENVER BASIN BEDROCK AQUIFERS .R1 This report contains basic data concerning the depth to ground water and elevation of the occurrence of ground water in the four bedrock aquifers of the Denver Basin during the fall of 2011 and spring of 2012. Two hundred thirty-three (233) new water levels are included in this report. The report contains data from these wells as well as other wells that are part of this monitoring effort, but for which data were not obtained in 2012. Historic data for all wells which are part of this monitoring effort are included in the report. Wells without new data in 10 years have been removed. Most of the water level measurements in this year's report were obtained by Andy Horn. Personnel from cooperating water districts and municipalities also provided water level data for this report, including some data which were lacking from previous years. The Division of Water Resources requested water level information from some districts and municipalities that did not respond. The Division of Water Resources will continue to request this information on an annual basis, and appreciates the cooperation of the many entities that do provide water level information. Included in this report is a summary of the Denver Basin geology with generalized aquifer maps and cross-sections. The summary will also be included in future reports. Copies of this report are made available to well owners and participating entities free of charge.
