r
M
POWERTECh (USA) INC.

August 1, 2008
Allen C. Sorenson
Senior Environmental Protection Specialist /
Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215
Denver, Colorado 80203
RE: Needed Items for NOI # P-2008-043 (Non-Confidential Portion)
Centennial and Indian Springs Projects
Weld County, Colorado
Dear Mr. Sorenson,
NON CONFIDENTIAL
Z
RECEIVED
AUG 0 4 2008 _-`_
Division of Reclamation,
Mining and Safety
This letter has been prepared in response to the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (DRMS)
letter to Powertech (USA) Inc. (Powertech) dated July 22, 2008, which states that the Powertech
application for Notice of Intent (N01) File Number P-2008-043 is incomplete. Contained within this
package you will find the non-confidential portion of additional information needed for DRMS to
complete its review of the application.
1) Item number 6 of Section III of the N01 application states that Powertech proposes to drill holes
up to 12 inches in diameter. In the case of this exploration activity, Powertech will be advancing
exploration boreholes at a diameter of 6.5 inches and monitoring wells at a diameter of 8.75
inches. As you indicated in your letter dated July 22, 2008, these drill hole diameter
measurements have been used for the DRMS calculation of plugging and abandonment costs for
the reclamation bond, and Powertech agrees with this. Powertech is in the process of securing
DRMS bond placement for these activities and will be forwarded as soon as possible.
2) Item number 2 of Section IV of the NOI application requires Powertech to provide a description
of the native vegetation in the areas to be disturbed by prospecting activities, which can be part
of the public N01 file. Attachment A of this package describes the vegetation communities
present within the affected prospecting areas proposed by Powertech, and these descriptions
can be available in the public NOI file.
3) Powertech has placed the details of the proposed groundwater monitoring well locations in the
confidential section of the N01. The rational and reasoning for this is because the proposed
groundwater monitoring wells are located within the uranium ore body.
4) Item number 3 of Section III of the N01 incorrectly states the quantity of earthen material that
Powertech estimated to be removed in order to conduct the prospecting activities. We agree to
the bond calculation estimate provided by DRMS of 170 bank cubic-yards of excavated material
for the construction of drilling mud pits.
5575 DTC Parkway, Suite 140 Telephone: 303-790-7528 website: www,powertechuranium.com
Greenwood Village, CO 80111 USA Facsimile: 303-790-3885 Email: info@powertechuranium.com
