RULE 2 PERMITS <br />RULE 2 - PERMITS <br />2.01 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS <br />The information provided in the subsections of Rule 2.01 of the original permit is specifically applicable <br />to the Collom permit expansion area. Information regarding the Colowyo existing permit area is located <br />in Rule 2 of Volume 1 and other referenced areas. <br />2.01.1— 2.01.3 Scope and General Requirements <br />These sections are addressed in the existing permit, Volume 1, Rule 2. <br />2.01.4 Permit Requirements for New Surface Coal Mining and Reclamation Operations <br />The Colowyo Mine is an existing mine operation; therefore, the requirements of this section are not <br />applicable. <br />2.01.5 Permit Term <br />Colowyo is hereby submitting the information necessary for CDRMS to make a finding that the Collom <br />permit expansion area extending mining operations to an area inside Federal Coal Leases C- 0123475, C- <br />0123476, COC- 68590, and State Lease 257 -13s is complete for the life -of -mine. With approval of this <br />application, Colowyo is requesting approval of the entire permit area which also represents the life -of- <br />mine area. Consistent with this approach, the Colowyo permit revision area will have the right of renewal <br />for successive five -year permit terms. The current permit term is November 5, 2007 to November 5, <br />2012. <br />2.01.6 Permit Fees <br />Colowyo will pay the permit fee of $2,500 dollars over the course of the permit term. Colowyo's existing <br />permit area is approximately 12,250.97 acres.
