It is specifically designed to meet the minimum
design requirements while minimizing additional disturbed area and
preventing environmental damage.
1 Use of road is for routine environmental monitoring and occasional pond maintenance.
Typical road use would consist of one trip per week by a light use vehicle
using one way travel and low speed.
2 Horizontal alignment will exactly follow existing two track road alignment and is
consistent with existing natural topography.
3 Overall grade of the existing road is approximately 6%
4 Access is controlled at all times by a locked gate.
5 One 18" culvert is to be installed at Sta. 39 +90 that will provide drainage under the
road for flows from the unnamed drainage.
6 No topsoil will be removed prior to surfacing with gravel.
7 Existing road will be hard bladed to remove all vegetation and rutting and to provide
a level surface across roadway.
8 Maximum cut and fill depths shall be less than 2 feet.
9 The completed ditch shall be broadcast seeded with the specified mixture
upon completion of the roadway.
10 Following blading, a minimum 4 inch thickness of clean, minus 2 inch gravel
from a commercially available source shall be placed and compacted across the
12 foot wide travelway. The field engineer may modify this specification to
include crushed rock from the mine site provided this material meets other
requirements. The road shall be crowned such that the minimum depth of
gravel along the centerline is 6 inches. Approximate quantity of gravel
needed is 1000 cubic yards.
11 A triangular V -ditch approximately 18 inches in depth shall be cut on the uphill
(Eastern) side of the completed roadway.
12 No vehicular traffic allowed beyond the construction limits identified above.
13 Upon completion of construction, a report shall be provided by a professional
engineer certifying that the construction has been completed according to plan.
14 The land owner has requested that this road remain following mining activities and
will not be reclaimed.
92.0
Gravel Base
4 to 6 ", Crowned
TYPICAL CROSS - SECTION
Scale 1" = 2 Feet
SEGMENT COORDINATES
Colowyo
Cordmate System
1,337,1685.67
369,030.67
00 +00
1,337,1613.22
368,845.89
02 +00
1,337,(620.79
368,646.83
04 +00
1,337,500.04
368,546.50
06 +00
1,337,;31278
368,466.06
08 +00
1,337,137.46
368,380.31
10 +00
1,336,1954.39
368,300.56
12 +00
1,336,7764.62
368,23245
14 +00
1,336,579.03
368,163.84
16 +00
1,336,427.17
368,035.94
18 +00
1,336,280.23
367,902.06
20 +00
1,336,218.28
367,714.41
22 +00
1,336,248.79
367,518.27
24 +00
1,336,5287.21
367,322.27
26 +00
1,336,372.09
367,142.63
28 +00
1,336,519.27
367,007.47
30 +00
1,336,666.59
366,872.36
32 +00
1,336,821.67
366,747.46
34 +00
1,337,(006.64
366,671.51
36 +00
1,337,1188.71
366,588.82
38 +00
1,337 „329.19
366,454.50
40 +00
1,337,333.77
366,256.14
42 +00
1,337,333.32
366,056.66
44 +00
1,337 „356.79
365,858.08
46 +00
1,337 „312.98
365,667.75
48 +00
1,337,302.33
365,471.36
50 +00
1,337,326.67
365,273.03
52 +00
1,337,346.72
365,075.86
54 +00
1,337,315.85
364,880.74
56 +00
1,337,367.79
364,690.00
58 +00
1,337,29282
364,508.79
60 +00
1,337,217.87
364,324.08
62 +00
1,337, 139.13
364,140.53
64 +00
1,337,055.78
363,961.86
66 +00
1,336,988.58
363,908.96
66 +85
Original Grade
V Ditch, approx. 1.5 ' deep
ENGINEER'S CERTIFICATION
1, THOMAS C.
