Please confirm
that TR -02 supersedes the plan submitted in TR -01.
2) The TR -02 submittal provided a conceptual plan for installing an Agridrain for the purpose of achieving
and maintaining dry conditions on an adjacent non - wetland area (the Orr property), while maintaining
minimum water levels in the adjacent wetlands. In order to document the design of the Agridrain
system, please provide a cross - section that is oriented along the length of the layflat pipe, and extends
from east of the Fulton Ditch to the west end of the layflat pipe. Please draw the cross - section at a scale
of approximately one inch equals forty feet, and show and label the following features in the cross -
section:
a. Ground surface,
b. Horizontal and vertical scales,
c. Fulton Ditch,
d. Bull Seep,
e. Slurry wall,
f. Hazeltine Mine permit boundary,
g. Agridrain,
h. PVC pipe and layflat pipe,
i. Current high water level east of the slurry wall,
j. Predicted water level east of the slurry wall after the Agridrain is functioning, and
k. Maximum land elevation on the Orr property.
3) What is the maximum flow capacity of the Agridrain? What is the maximum flow rate that the Agridrain
will need to handle in order to prevent a rise in water level on the inlet side of the Agridrain?
4) Will additional structures (for example, concrete) be needed at the inlet and outlet of the Agridrain for
ensuring this permanent drain is stable? Please explain.
5) Please describe how flow diverted through the Agridrain will not cause injury to owners of those water
rights prior to final bond release and after final bond release.
Office of
Mined Land Reclamation Denver •Grand Junction o Duran Office of
Durango Active and Inactive Mines
