The leak was discovered at approximately 5:20PM on April 17, <br />2013. <br />Notice Requirements (3.1.13(2)): <br />(a) Climax Molybdenum, M -1977 -342, Tim Haynes <br />(b) (303) 569 -3221 Ext. 2284 <br />(c) 5:20 PM, April 17, 2013 <br />(d) Tailing slurry <br />(e) An estimated 700 to 800 gallons of tailing slurry was released from the bottom of <br />Drop Tower 7. The released tailings did not leave the permit area (or affected area). <br />The released tailings flowed under County Road 3 through a culvert and reported to <br />the tailing impoundment facility. <br />(f) Henderson employees diverted flow from the tailing delivery line to the emergency <br />cutout line. <br />Additional information: Mr. Haynes will submit a follow -up notice as required by Rule 8.2.3 to <br />the Division. <br />Office of Office of <br />Mined Land Reclamation Denver • Grand Junction • Durango Active and Inactive Mines <br />
