Pineda <br />Director <br />This letter is to inform you that the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety is <br />proposing to approve with conditions a permit revision application for a coal mining and <br />reclamation permit. The application was submitted by Colowyo Coal Company L.P. on January <br />26, 2009 for the Colowyo Coal Mine. <br />The surface mine is located approximately 28 miles south of Craig, Colorado. The permit area is <br />further described as follows: <br />All or portions of Sections 2, 3, 4, 8, 9, 10, 11, 14, 15, 16, 17, 20, 21 and T3N, R93W; and <br />Sections 13, 15, 22, 23, 24, 26, 27, 28, 33 and 34, T4N, R93W; 6th Prime Meridian. <br />Copies of the renewal application are available for public review in the Division offices at the <br />above address and at the Rio Blanco County Clerk and Recorder.
