Revised 11/15/81 <br /> 2.06 REQUIREMENTS FOR PERMITS FOR SPECIAL CATEGORIES OF MINING <br /> 2.06.1 Scope <br /> This Section establishes the minimum requirements for permits for <br /> special categories of surface coal mining and reclamation operations <br /> which are in addition to the other applicable requirements of Rule 2. <br /> 2.06.2 Experimental Practices Mining <br /> CF&I Steel Corporation does not plan to engage in any experimental <br /> mining practices at the Maxwell Mine. <br /> 2.06.3 Mountaintop Removal Mining <br /> No surface mining or mountaintop removal is planned at the Maxwell Mine. <br /> 2.06.4 Steep Slope Mining <br /> Operations at the Maxwell Mine will not include steep slope mining. <br /> 2.06.5 Permits Incorporating Variances from Approximate Original <br /> Contour Restoration Requirements for Steep Slope Mining <br /> Because CF&I Steel Corporation does not plan steep slope mining, this <br /> Section is not applicable. <br /> 2.06.6 Prime Farmlands <br /> CF&I Steel Corporation does not plan to mine prime farmlands because <br /> there are no prime farmlands in the area to be disturbed by the Maxwell <br /> Mine. <br /> 2.06-1 <br />
