8/26/2012
Dear Division of Mining,
RECEIVED
AUG 282012
Division of Reclamation,
Mining & Safety
Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety,
1313 Sherman St, Room 215
Denver, Colorado 80203,
figr
PO Box 158
345 County Rd 821
Cripple Creek, CO
80813
In our letter of 24 April 2012, we requested that you deny the Cripple Creek &Victor
Gold Mine's (Anglo Ashanti Gold Corp) Request for Extension 2 (Amendment 10).
We would like to withdraw our objection to the expansion without prejudice.
We are still very concerned about the expansion's affect on the value, attractiveness and
quality of life in our Cripple Creek home. But we also realize that there are larger
community concerns such as local jobs and economic benefits that are important. As
professed believers of our free - market and capitalism -based economic system, we see this
as a moment of truth to "walk the walk and talk the talk ". Additionally, and as
importantly, we are convinced that the mine leaders and managers strive to be good
community patrons and neighbors and will work diligently and in good faith to mitigate
the expansion's impacts to us.
Thank you for your care and consideration.
Sincerely,
Patrick and Jolene arrett
PO Box 158
345 County Rd. 821
Cripple Creek, CO 80813
719- 439 -4358
Ct
lti1E
*c )
