We provide a follow -up on
two points discussed.
First, CC &V has been actively treating weeds annually at the Cresson Project. Some of the species of
concern are Russian thistle, Musk thistle, and Yellow toadflax. We recognized, though, that we did not
have a formal written Weed Control Plan for the Cresson Project so committed as part of the site's ISO -
14001 certified Environmental Management System ( "EMS ") to develop such a plan by September 1,
2013. The rationale for the September 1, 2013 date is to use next growing season to verify weed type,
locations, appropriate approaches to deal with weeds, etc. The plan is intended to address the various
points raised under Adequacy Comment 22 of DRMS' July 23, 2012 letter. CC &V can appreciate
DRMS' desire for an interim written plan as the formal plan is developed. As such, CC &V commits to
providing to DRMS an interim written Weed Control Plan by June 1, 2013 and a formal /final written
Weed Control Plan by September 1, 2013.
Second, as requested enclosed please find the weekly construction quality assurance reports for the
placement of overburden material in Squaw Gulch Overburden Storage Area where in the future will be
located the High Grade Mill.
We believe that addresses the matters noted as outstanding during our meeting. However, if you need
anything further, please let me know.
RECEIVED
AUG 242012
- 1amation,
. Safety
