State PROOF OF PUBLICATION <br />NOTICE OF PROPOSED DECISION <br />The Colorado Division of Reclama <br />tion, Mining and Safety proposes to <br />Approve Permit Revision Application <br />No. 5, submitted by Snowcap Coal <br />Company, Inc. for a coal mining per <br />mit at the Roadside Portals (Permit <br />No. C.1981 -041). With this permit re• <br />vision application Snowcap Coal <br />Company, Inc. proposes to gain ap <br />prove! for the removal of Ponds 8, <br />10,11 and 13 along with other drain <br />age control features at CRDA 1 & 2, <br />CBA 1 & 2 and the North Portal. This <br />revision also seeks approval to make <br />changes to the final reclamation plane <br />of Ponds 6, 10, and 11, Coal Gulch, <br />the Coal Canyon drainage and Road <br />side North Portal. <br />The Roadside•Portala Is located in _ <br />Mesa County, approximately 5 miles <br />North of Palisade, Colorado. Coal in <br />tarsal is Federal and private, and the <br />surface to be affected Is Federal and <br />private land The permit area en <br />comp pproximatsly 2,788 <br />acres. <br />This proposed decision is based on a <br />finding that the proposed operation <br />will comply with all requirements of <br />the Colorado Surface Coal Mining <br />Reclamation Act, Section 34 33 101, <br />et seq., C.R.S., and the regulations <br />promulgated thereunder. <br />Copies of the proposed decision, In <br />eluding any stipulations, are on file for <br />public inspection at the Colorado Di• <br />vision of Reclamation, Mining and <br />Safety, Room 215, Centennial Build <br />ing, 1313 Sherman Street, Denver, <br />Colorado 80203 and at the Mesa <br />County Clerk and Recorder, 200 S. <br />Spruce Street, Grand Junction, CO <br />81501. Persons with an interest that <br />may be adversely affected by the <br />proposed decision may request a <br />formal hearing before the Mined Land <br />Reclamation Board on the proposed <br />decision.
