As noted during your recent inspection, the location of
the road, and use by loaded concrete trucks can result in localized road damage and drainage concerns under
high runoff or muddy conditions. Our review of the road design and configuration indicates that these concerns
can be effectively addressed by widening the road in certain areas, providing better roadside drainage, installing
3 additional culverts, and establishing sediment traps to capture road surface runoff and contain excess
sediment. We also determined that additional room is needed for snow removal and storage to minimize the
potential for maintenance - related disturbance of adjacent areas paralleling the road corridor.
We propose to expand the permitted road disturbance corridor from its current permitted width of 40 feet, to 75
feet. Where the required road improvements dictate, we will strip additional soil material, and will also strip
selected areas adjacent to the road for snow removal and storage. The additional soil material recovered will be
placed in the existing soil material stockpiles for future use in reclaiming the road.
This submittal includes revised PAP text and maps /drawings addressing both the expanded road disturbance
corridor and proposed road improvements. New and revised PAP materials are identified by the enclosed
Summary of Revisions /Additions. TCC would like to proceed with this project as soon as possible, therefore we
appreciate your consideration and cooperation in facilitating timely review and approval.
