CO- 00045161 FIRST QUARTER 2012 DISCHARGE
MONITORING REPORTS (DMR)
Dear Ms. Morgan,
Colowyo is submitting the First Quarter 2012 Discharge Monitoring Report to the Water Quality Control
Division. Please find the DMR reports attached for your review. Colowyo exceeded Regulatory Limits
during the First Quarter of 2012 at Outfall 001A for Total Suspended Solids and Total Recoverable Iron,
at Outfall 004A for Total Suspended Solids and Total Recoverable Iron, at Outfall 007A for Total
Suspended Solids and Total Recoverable Iron, at Outfall 010A for Total Recoverable Iron, and at 011A for
Total Suspended Solids and Total Recoverable Iron. The elevated levels of Total Suspended Solids and
Total Recoverable Iron at the Outfalls can be attributed to runoff of snowpack and precipitation in the
area of the Outfalls and therefore meet the criteria for Alternate Limitations. BETX sampling was not
required for the First Quarter at Outfall 002A.
Sincerely,
Encl.
CC: CDRMS /Rob Zuber
C.F. 21.1.2 w /encl
Chip Brown
Environmental Engineer
5731 Highway 13
Meeker, Colorado 81641
970 - 824 -1500
RECEIVD
APR 1 201Z
Division of Reclamation,
Mining and Safety
RECEIVED
APR 1 0 7017
Division or t eciamation,
Mining and Safety
