Hickenlooper
Governor
Mike King
Executive Director
Loretta E. Pineda
Director
The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (the Division) has reviewed and
found the above referenced report to be in compliance with Rule 4.05.13(2). The Discharge
Monitoring Reports were received by the Division on January 23, 2012.
Three CPS outfalls were observed discharging during the quarter: Outfalls 001A, OlOA and
011A.
Colowyo's surface water monitoring activity revealed an exceedance of primary effluent
limitations during the quarter at Outfall 01OA: the monthly average criterion was exceeded for
Total Suspended Solids in October. Meteorological data provided by Colowyo suggests that
the exceedance of October was due to precipitation runoff. Furthermore, the alternate
limitation for settleable solids was met. The Colorado Department of Public Health and
Environment ( CDPHE) was informed of the exceedance.
If you have any questions feel free to contact me at Rob.Zuber@state.co.us or 303 - 866 -3567
(ext. 8113).
Sincerely,
Robert D.
