Cramer, Johanna
From: Brown, Sandy
Sent: Tuesday, November 02, 2010 4:59 PM
To: Cramer, Johanna; Talvitie, Marcia
Cc: Berry, David; Pineda, Loretta
Subject: FW: Nucla coal mine
Johanna,
Will you please scan and file under PR -6, C- 1981 -008?
Thank you,
SB
From: SHADOW80632(a)aol.com [mailto:SHADOW80632(a)aol.com]
Sent: Tuesday, November 02, 2010 4:51 PM
To: Brown, Sandy
Subject: Nucla coal mine
Dear MS Brown
I am writing to inform you of my support for the ENERGY FUELS coal mine in Nucla, CO. I have been employed by a
company contracted to work for the coal mine for almost 2 years, and have seen over that period of time how much the
community DEPENDS on the mine for various reasons. The coal mine provides numerous jobs throughout the
community, it provides revenue to local businesses by purchasing supplies locally, and it provides support to the local
schools. There is an individual that is trying to keep the mine from operating, and this person in NOT even the land
owner. This person is just a legal representative for the family.
If the coal mine is not allowed to continue to operate, I am afraid that the surrounding communities will suffer greatly
because of the domino effect caused by the loss of jobs and revenue to the nearby towns.
I am hoping that you will allow the coal mine to continue to operate.
Sincerely,
John J Gist
(970) 901 -8559
JOHN (WINGER) GIST
