DIVISION OF RECLAMATION, MINING AND SAFETY
Department of Natural Resources
1313 Sherman St., Room 215
Denver, Colorado 80203
Phone: (303) 866 -3567
FAX: (303) 832 -8106
February 27, 2012
Ms. Gina Nance
GCC Rio Grande, Inc.
3372 Lime Rd
Pueblo, CO 81004
Re: Red Rock Plant & Limestone Mine, Permit No. M- 2002 -004, Incomplete Request for
Technical Revision
Dear Ms. Nance:
On February 21, 2012, the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (Division) received your
request for a Technical Revision to the subject permit. The Division determined your request was
incomplete. Pursuant to C.R.S. 34- 32.5- 125(a)(VII) and Rule1.9.1 of the Mineral Rules and
Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board for The Extraction of Construction
Materials, a fee of $216.00 is required to file the request. The Division has not received the required
fee.
In addition, some clarification is warranted as to our numbering sequence for Technical Revisions and
Amendments. The numbering system for Technical Revisions is sequential and independent of the
current Amendment. In the case of M- 2002 -004, Amendment 1 (AM -01) was approved by the
Division in September 2011. Technical Revision 1 (TR -01) was submitted in July 2010 and
withdrawn in May 2011. The current Technical Revision will be numbered TR -02. Please make note
of this when submitting the request with the required $216 application fee. It will help in avoiding
confusion with respect to tracking revisions in the future. Thank you.
If you have any questions, please contact me at 303 - 866 -3567 x8169.
Sincerely,
Timothy A.
