During 2011, a number of permitted activities occurred under Permit, Technical, and Minor Revision approvals (summarized as follows), with most of the permitted activities occurring within existing disturbance areas (no change in acreage unless otherwise noted): TR11 -77, 15 -Left Ventilation Shaft Installation (approved 09/27/11, +2.3 acres disturbed /affected) TR11 -78, 16 -Left Utility Borehole Installation (approved 09/28/11, +8.3 acres disturbed/affected) MR10 -251, Mid -Term Review Responses (approved 06/21/11) MR11 -252, Ambulance Addition (approved 03/03/11) MR11 -253, Western Mining District Emergency Stabilization Borehole (approved 04/21/11, +1.7 acres disturbed /affected) MR11 -254, Overland Conveyor Geotechnical Investigations (approved 07/24/11, +0.1 acres disturbed /affected) MR11 -255, Facilities Yard Rock -Dust Installation (approved 09/06/11) MR11 -256, Western Mining District Corehole Drilling Program (approved 09/19/11, +1.1 acres disturbed /affected ) MR11 -257, Mitzefeld Ownership Update (approved 10/20/11) MR11 -258, 15 -Left Powerline (approved 11/17/11) MR11 -259, 6 Main North Reservoir Toe Relief Drain (approved 12/01/11, +0.2 acres disturbed /affected) Changes in permitted disturbed and affected area acreages during 2011 included an increase in the permitted disturbed and affected acreage of 13.7 acres (TR11 -77, 11 -78, and MR11 -253, 11 -254, 11 -256, 11 -259). The total permitted acreage did not change, however in conjunction with the Mid -Term Permit Review, review and reconciliation of the total permitted, affected, and disturbed acreage figures resulted in minor adjustments to these figures. Actual surface disturbance during 2011 was 14.0 acres, reflecting completion of the 2011 permitted activities and carry -over of the Ditch G -6 Extension work into 2011. It should be noted that work on two previously permitted activities; the proposed 19 -Right Mine Dewatering Installation (TR10 -73, 7.5 acres), and the Ambulance Addition (MR11 -252), has not been initiated to date. Additional permitted disturbance during 2011 resulted in a cumulative total for permitted surface disturbance of approximately 623.1 acres.
