The pit is located on <br />County -owned property located east of Interstate 25 at the St. Vrain River in Section 2, Township 2 <br />North, Range 68 West, Weld County. <br />The request is for a reduction in the mine permit area. Weld County Public Works wishes to revise <br />and reduce the permitted area to remove approximately 40.4 acres of un -mined area. Please see the <br />attached Exhibit showing the existing and proposed mine boundaries. That area is currently grassed <br />pasture and planned for a future County building and emergency services radio tower.
