This letter is being sent to you to address the
information you provided in your Annual Report. You indicated the site identification sign has
not been posted in accordance with Rule 3.1.12(1). The Division does not provide mine
identifications signs; it is the responsibility of the Operator to obtain a sign. The sign shall be
posted at the entrance of the mine site and shall be clearly visible from the access road. The sign
shall contain the name of the Operator, a statement that a reclamation permit for the operation
has been issued by the Mined Land Reclamation Board, and the permit number. The sign is to be
posted for the life of the mine. Please post a mine identification sign within 30 days of the date of
this letter. In addition, the Division requests the Operator send photographic documentation
which demonstrates the sign has been posted.
You have indicated in'the Annual Report that you would like to increase the permitted acreage.
The site is currently permitted for 7.76 acres under a 110 Construction Materials Reclamation
Permit. You may increase the permitted acreage up to 9.9 acres under your current reclamation
permit by submitting an Amendment Application. If you choose to increase your permitted
acreage above 9.9 acres, then you will need to convert your current reclamation permit into a 112
Construction Materials Reclamation Permit.
