UMC previously requested an extension to <br />September 9, 2011 but in that request UMC neither allowed adequate time for Division review nor <br />allowed for Lake County Commissioners meetings impacting UMC's time requirements in providing a <br />response to the Division's questions. UMC met with the Lake County Commissioners yesterday, <br />September 7, 2011 and received approval for the Conditional Use Permit (CUP) for the Leadville Mill. I <br />will forward the final CUP to the Division. Several conditions approved with the CUP will require minor <br />changes to the TR. <br />This extension request is to allow UMC sufficient time to complete the TSF field survey, generation of <br />material quantities and final design modifications to adequately address the regulatory issues submitted <br />by your office. UMC intends to provide the Division with the requested data on or before September 16, <br />2011 allowing the Division the balance of the extension time. <br />Please contact me directly for additional information or clarification to this document.
