Minerals Company, LLC <br />Permit Renewal RN -06 <br />Permit C- 1984 -065 <br />Dear Mr. Stark: <br />The DRMS' adequacy letter dated June 28, 2011 transmitted its preliminary adequacy <br />review for the referenced permit renewal. On behalf of C. B. Minerals Company, LLC <br />following are its responses to the DRMS' comments and concerns. <br />1. Permit section 2.2 was updated. Amended pages 2 -1 through 2 -12 and Figures 2.1 -1 <br />and 2.4 -1 are enclosed. <br />2. The permit term information on page 2 -9 was corrected. <br />3. Enclosed is an up -to -date insurance certificate to be incorporated into Exhibit 2.7 -1. <br />4. Enclosed is an e-mail from Kathy Eastley with Garfield County. The e-mail indicates <br />the only Garfield County permit required is a grading permit to reclaim the sediment <br />ponds. The grading permit requirement was added to page 2 -10. A grading permit <br />becomes null and void if the work authorized is not commenced within 180 days of the <br />date of issuance. Therefore, an application for a grading permit has not been <br />submitted. <br />5. Page 2 -10 was amended to show the CDPS permit inactive status. <br />6. No comment required. <br />J. E. The Applicant will comply with the DWR requirement to release water impounded in <br />the sediment pond within 72 hours by leaving the valve on primary spillway partially <br />open. Leaving the valve on primary spillway partially open was added to page 4 -58i. <br />
