DIVISION OF RECLAMATION, MINING AND SAFETY
Department of Natural Resources
1313 Sherman St., Room 215
Denver, Colorado 80203
Phone: (303) 866 -3567
FAX: (303) 832 -8106
August 3, 2011
Jim Striggow
Stone Wholesale, Inc.
4717 Bay View Dr.
Fort Collins, CO 80526
RE: Brownstone Quarry; DRMS File No. M- 1997 -065; Technical Revision – 01; Adequacy
Review
Dear Mr. Striggow,
The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (Division) has completed its adequacy review
of your Technical Revision to the above referenced permit. The Technical Revision was received
and called complete for review on July. 11, 2011. The decision date for this application is August
10, 2011.
1. Per our discussion on July 29, 2011, you verified the intent of Technical Revision – 01 (TR-
01) is to add affected acreage north of the active quarry area and outside of the current permit
boundary. The Division defines a Technical Revision as a change in the permit which does
not have more than a minor effect upon the proposed Reclamation Plan. Adding affected
acreage to the permit area constitutes an Amendment, which the Division defines as a change
in the permit which increases the acreage of the affected land.
You may increase your affected acreage by submitting a Construction Material Regular (112)
Operation Reclamation Permit Application. The Application is available on the Division's
website: http: // mining. state.co.us /MinForms/ Construction %20112 %20App.pdf. You may
withdraw TR -01 by submitting a request in writing to the Division. If you choose to withdraw
TR -01, then the Technical Revision fee of $216.00 will be credited to the Applicant and may be
applied to the Amendment fee.
If you have any questions, you may contact me at (303)866 -3567 x8116.
Sincerely,
Michael Cunningham
Environmental Protection Specialist
CC: Jim Dupler, DRMS
Office of
Mined Land Reclamation
STATE OF COLORADO
COLORADO
D I V I S I O N O F
RECLAMATION
MINING
— &—
SAF ETY
John W.
