This request is to allow the Division sufficient time to review <br />the CTL Thompson Slope Stability Evaluation, Tailings Pond Embankment and Future Tailings Slope <br />report provided to you on July 12, 2011. UMC also wishes to extend to the Division adequate time to <br />allow an orderly transition of Permit files and materials from the Grand Junction office to the Denver <br />office. <br />Thank you for meeting with UMC staff and Calais Resources staff on Monday July 25, 2011, to allow <br />UMC and the Division to coordinate the path forward on the review and approval of Technical Revision <br />#3. I will contact you early next week for clarification of additional thoughts from the meeting and the <br />formalization of a response to the Notice of Designated Mining Operation letter from the Division on July <br />5, 2011. <br />Please contact me directly for additional information or clarification to this document.
