Days <br />S <br />M <br />T <br />W <br />T <br />F <br />S <br />Work Shifts <br />- <br />D <br />D <br />D <br />D <br />D <br />D = Day Shift N = Night Shift <br />rn't,3ame <br />VLF EARTHWORKS FIELD MONITORING SUMMARY (WEEKLY REPORT) <br />Project Title: CC &V/ Phase 5 <br />Owner: Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mining Co. <br />Location: Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mine <br />Work Element: Phase 5 CQA/ VLF <br />Date: September 11, 2010 <br />Reporting Period: 9/5/10 through 9/11/10 <br />Project No.: 84201125E0 <br />Contractor: Ames Construction Co., Inc. <br />Shift: Day/Night <br />Ambient Temperature Range (F): Low: 40 ° F to 53 ° F ( + / -) High: 62 °F to 77 ° F ( + / -) <br />AMEC CQA: Personnel On -site through the Reporting Period (See Attachment A). <br />AMES: Work activities were suspended on 9/5/2010- 9/6/2010 and will resume at the beginning of shift <br />Tuesday, 9/7/2010. This was performed in observance of the Labor Day holiday. <br />CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES and PROGRESS: <br />I) EARTHWORKS <br />A) Subgrade Preparation <br />1) VLF <br />No work performed during the week (see Figure 1 for previous subgrade acceptance). <br />B) Slope Contouring <br />1) VLF <br />Slope contouring performed between stations K5 +00 ( + / -) and K9 +00 ( + / -), approximately 0 to <br />175 feet right of centerline. Slope contouring was performed using various dozers. A CAT <br />smooth drum roller was used to compact finished slopes. <br />C) Cut to Fill <br />1) VLF <br />A CAT 385 excavator was used to excavate material from a designated area in the Cresson pit. <br />The material was loaded into CAT 777 haul trucks and hauled between stations A54 +00 ( + / -) <br />and A57 +00 ( + / -), approximately 0 to 50 feet left of centerline and between stations K8 +00 <br />( + / -) and K11 +00 ( + / -), approximately 200 to 220 feet left of centerline. Structural fill was <br />placed in 18" to 24" lifts using various CAT dozes. Each lift was moisture conditioned using a <br />CAT 773 water truck (when necessary) and compacted using a 10 -ton vibratory smooth drum <br />VLF Weekly Report WE 09.11.10.D <br />
