The Authority acquired the above <br />mentioned sand and gravel pit when it obtained the property needed for construction of the E- <br />470 interchange at US 85. <br />The Authority has taken steps towards compliance with the requirements of an augmentation <br />plan. The Authority has acquired shares of the Fulton Irrigation Ditch Company, Burlington <br />Ditch, Land and Reservoir Company, and Wellington Reservoir Company. The Authority has <br />contracted with Bishop-Brogden Associates, Inc. (BBA) for assistance in developing a substitute <br />water supply plan and plan for augmentation and getting the augmentation plan through water <br />court and ultimately approved. Based on calculations prepared by BBA, we believe we own <br />enoug tl-water rights sufficient to augment the evaporative7osses of-the Henderson - -- <br />Development pit. <br />The Authority has been working with the City of Brighton, specifically Mr. Jim Landeck, Director <br />of Utilities, to develop an intergovernmental agreement by which the City would store and <br />release water in accordance with a future augmentation plan. <br />22470 E. 6th Parkway, Suite 100, Aurora, Colorado 80018 (303) 537-3470 FAX (303) 537-3472
