The Division needs you to
respond to the following remaining adequacy issues before TR-3 can be approved:
1) The TR states that when reclamation is finished it will be at 3:1 slope or flatter. Please describe
in the text and indicate on the Reclamation Plan Map which areas will be reclaimed to 3:1 slopes.
Include on the Reclamation Plan map the final slope configuration of the entire permit area.
2) The TR states that the pit will be backfilled with a mixture of sand and gravel. Please indicate
whether the source of the backfill material will be from inside the permit area or from off site.
3) Please provide the estimated water requirements of the project and the source of the water.
Be advised that you may not deviate from the existing Mining Plan until Technical Revision TR-3
has been approved. You may call me with questions at (303) 866-3567 x8108.
Sincerely,
0, 4 ?-
David Bird
Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety
Office of Office of
Mined Land Reclamation Denver • Grand Junction • Durango Active and Inactive Mines
