C-80-006
Second Response to DRMS' Preliminary Adequacy Review
Dear Rob Zuber:
This letter is the second response to the Division's Preliminary Adequacy Review
letter concerning Kerr's Permit Renewal Request No.6 (RN-06). This response
addresses the Division's comments about lack of clarity in Table 61, Kerr Hydrologic
Monitoring Schedule and narration on permit page No.780.109a that pertains to
changes in monitoring at the mine site and the Loadout site. In response to the
comments and pursuant to relevant email correspondence, the above documents have
been revised and are enclosed herewith for replacement in the Kerr Permit in Section
780.21 as updates for Permit Renewal No.6.
The above revisions clarify that monitoring requirements (water & revegetation
monitoring) pertaining to the mine area have been terminated but monitoring at the
Loadout facility continue as required. Revised Table 61 supersedes previous water
monitoring. Termination of the monitoring for the mine area was approved in Technical
Revision No.23, (TR-23) May-June, 2007.
Enclosures:
• Table No.61, Kerr Hydrologic Monitoring Schedule (revised RN-06)
• Permit page No.780.109a (text narration, monitoring)
• List of Maps (Table of Contents)
• Map 2, Loadout Area Water Monitoring Stations
If you have any questions or comments, -please contact me.
Sincerely,
eorge V Patterson
Gen Mine Mgr
