The purpose of the MR is to provide for two angle boreholes ( LW-16-05B and LW-
16-05C) to be located at the existing GVB-16-05 gob vent borehole site and two angle boreholes (LW-16-
07B and LW-16-07C) to be located at the existing GVB-16-07 gob vent borehole site.
Oxbow had success with completing borehole LW-16-01D into the vicinity of subsided Gob after the
passage of the longwall, and the resultant success in enhanced drawing of hazardous mine gasses. Oxbow
proposes today to modify the MR-93 to include the additional drilling of angle boreholes LW-16-02B,
LW-16-02C and LW-16-04B, all of which will attempt to drill into fractured Gob areas. This proposal
will use existing light use roads and drill pads.
We are also including an updated page 6 of Exhibit 2.04-E3, Geologic Information, Item 9 - Methane
Drainage Well Information. An updated Map 2.05-M1, Sheet 6 of 6, General Facilities Gobvent
Boreholes will be forthcoming.
Please contact me at (970) 929-5806 should you have questions or require further information.
Sincerely,
Jmes A.
