These plans update the previously approved mining and
environmental monitoring plans and incorporate future expansion of the processing facility along
with testing of vertical wells for extraction of nahcolite in lower geologic horizons. This
expansion wi occll ur within existkng disturbance of-the-cur-rent-fac y. The-_updated-plans_are
considered to be within the scope of the "Wolf Ridge Corporation Mine Plan for a Nahcolite
Solution Mine Environmental Impact Statement (EIS)" and are approved.
The mine and environmental monitoring plans are dynamic and require updating as changes in
operations and surrounding activities occur. In the immediate vicinity there is intensified activity
of natural gas activity. As means of moderating cumulative influences of surface disturbances
and industrial occupation on wildlife forage and cover resources the reclamation portion of the
plan needs to reflect the current technologies and philosophies, seed availability, and reclamation
objectives and expectations. The White River Field Office will work with Natural Soda Inc to
ensure the reclamation portion of in the Mine Plan is updated prior to the end of current seeding
season (March 15, 2011).
The mine site is geologically located in area that has potential fossil yield and any ground
disturbance into the underlying rock formation requires a paleontological monitor present during
such excavations.
If there any questions, please contact Paul Daggett Mining Engineer at (970) 87873819.
Sincerely,
t?-ram--+ ?-/
Kent Walter
Field Manager
