Dear Mr. Cunningham,
J&T Consulting, Inc. and Broken Arrow Investments, LLC have reviewed the adequacy
review comments. We discussed the comments during a phone conversation on
October 15th to ensure that the responses we are providing in this letter along with
revised exhibits would address the comments adequately. Thank you for taking the time
to discuss the comments as it was very helpful in clarifying the concerns the Division of
Reclamation, Mining, and Safety had with our Technical Revision Request No. 1. The
following are our responses to each of the numbered comments you provided in your
September 14, 2010 review letter:
6.4.3 Exhibit C - Pre-mining and Mining Plan Map(s) of Affected Areas
1. The Mining Plan Map shows typical dewatering ditches and collection
ponds. Will these features be eliminated with the use of wet mining
methods? If so, please revise the Mining Plan Map accordingly.
Response:
The dewatering ditches and collection ponds will not be eliminated from the
mining plan as they will be used after the installation of the slurry wall. The
wet mining methods will be used prior to installation of the slurry wall.
6.4.4 Exhibit D - Mining Plan
2. As required by Rule 6.4.4(a), please describe the methods of mining
including equipment, which will be used to accomplish wet mining of
the Derr Pit.
