z
Division of Minerals and Geology
April 30, 2002
Page 2
Rule 6.3.5(2) Maps do not show the owner of minerals under the following properties. Lots
2500000046, 2500000018 and 2500000049.
Rule 6.3.5(3) Reclamation map Exhibit F does not show the affected area of revegetation. Is
all of the affected area within the permit boundary to be revegetated?
Rules 6.3(b) & Reclamation map Exhibit F does not show path of drainage beyond the
6.3.5(3)(c) immediate area. It does not show the location of any sedimentation pond. It
does not, of course, show drainage during the 50 years of mining.
Rules 3.1.2 & Reclamation map Exhibit F does not include the plant site.
6.3.4(1)
Rule 6.3 The reclamation map Exhibit 1~ shows contours after final grading some 50
years hence. Although the legend gives a symbol for pre-mine contours, the
symbol is the same as post-mine contours and no pre-mine contours are
indicated in the affected areas.
Rule 6.3 The outline of the 50 year development contours are clear enough but there are
no details of slopes and contours around pits at the end of one, two or five year
developments to graphically show these transitions from 30 foot holes to
revegeaated areas. Also to be shovm are drainage ditches and silt fences.
These conditions must be shown with large scale plans and sections
Rule 6.3.4 There is no statement about the amount of water to be used in revegetation or
the source of such water or how long it will be applied.
Rules 6.3.3 & There is no consideration of dealing with the toxic remains of the blasting
3.1.7(6)B 1 agent. I Iow will it be handled?
The permit application states that seismic monitoring "will be conducted"
during blasting. Who will conduct the monitoring? To whom will the
information be conveyed?
There is no statement about protecting the stockpiled topsoil from erosion.
