Golder
Associates C 77 -348
September 22, 2010 Our Ref.: 10381640
Mr. Eric Scott
Colorado Division of Reclamation Mining and Safety
Department of Natural Resources
1313 Sherman St., Room 215
Denver, Colorado 80203
RE: REVISED GROUNDWATER CONSTITUENT LIST FOR THE BOETTCHER LIMESTONE
QUARRY, LA PORTE, COLORADO
Dear Mr. Scott:
Golder Associates Inc. (Golder), on behalf of Holcim (US) Inc., is submitting this letter to provide you with
written notification of changes to the constituent list presented in Table 1 of the April 28, 2010
Groundwater Sampling and Analysis Plan (SAP) for the Boettcher Limestone Quarry in La Porte,
Colorado. As we discussed in our telephone conversation on Monday, September 20, 2010, Table 1 was
intended to include dissolved lithium and exclude free cyanide to reflect the constituent list presented in
the text on page 5 of the SAP. With these changes, the list is consistent with the reduced list of
constituents for groundwater samples that was approved by the Division of Reclamation Mining and
Safety (DRMS) in their letter of October 18, 1999.
We apologize for any inconvenience these changes may cause. The revised constituent list will be
presented in the report that documents the results of the groundwater sampling event to be submitted
to the DRMS later this year.
If you have any questions or comments about this letter, please contact either of the undersigned at
(303) 980-0540.
Sincerely,
GOOLDER ASSOCIATES INC.
Ed Pottorff
Senior Hydrogeologist
dd& ' C
ark McClain
Prin /pal
EJP/MEM:dls
\10\81640\0100\10381840 parameteraddendumltr 22sep10 docx
Golder Associates Inc.
44 Union Blvd., Suite 300
Lakewood, CO 80228 USA
Tel: (303) 980-0540 Fax (303) 985-2080 www.goider.com
Golder Associates: Operations in Africa, Asia, Australasia, Europe, North America and South America
