Pineda
Director
The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety has received a revision for the Bowie No. 2 Mine. The
revision was called complete on September 7, 2010. The decision due date is September 17, 2010.
In Minor Revision No. 120 (MR-120), Bowie Resources LLC (BRL) is proposing to add a short section
of development mining within the currently approved permit area to their mine plan. The proposed
mining is a portion of the mine plan that was originally proposed in Technical Revision No. 68. BRL
needs MR-120 approved to continue mining until TR-68 is approved. The additional mining is west of
the WAPA power line and Terror Creek, does not undermine the Terror Creek road and will not result in
subsidence.
If you have any questions, please contact me.
Sincerely,
H. osep J. dj-?"-"'4
ash
Environmental Protection Specialist
cc: Richard Rudin
JJD/Ahd
c: /word2007/bowie2/mr 1201et 1
Office of Office of
Mined Land Reclamation Denver • Grand Junction • Durango Active and Inactive Mines
