The reason of
this request is to remove the historic residence and outbuildings from the Mine Permit Boundary.
It is apparent the structures were to remain on site as the Mine Plan references maintaining
setbacks from existing structures. Furthermore, the Reclamation Plan and Narrative do not
reference demolition. The structures do not belong to Lafarge and appear to be inhabited.
Removing this area from the Mine Plan is for safety measures and compliance. The acreage
reduction proposed is from 77.1 acres to 67.9 acres. Please see enclosed map.
We submit this in accordance with Rule 4.17 of the Construction Materials Rules and
Regulations. The property for which the release is requested is owned by:
Ryan Carlson
12460 1s` Street, P.O. Box 247
Eastlake, CO 80614-0247
All applicable portions of the Reclamation Plan requirements for this portion of the permit have
been satisfied. This portion of the permit was noted as "undisturbed area."
Sincerely,

Anne Best Johnson, AICP
Land Manager
(303) 653-4101
Electronic copy: Property Owner
LAFARGE NORTH AMERICA INC. - Aggregate, Concrete, and Asphalt
11409 Business Park Circle, Suite 200
Longmont, CO 80504
