The proposed modifications involve installation of a grated collection basin on the
south side of the Security Building and a 36-inch culvert extending under the Mine Access Road to
connect with existing ditch G-2. The limited drainage from this small area was previously collected and
routed to either Pond G by Ditch G-Id (the majority of the drainage), or Pond D by Ditch D-4.
Because the Security Installation, and proposed drainage modifications will be located within an existing
disturbance area, there will be no new disturbance associated with the project. Associated reclamation
requirements and costs will be limited to removal of the drainage collection basin and culvert as
summarized by the accompanying Reclamation Cost Estimate.. Backfilling and grading, soil
replacement, and revegetation, are already addressed for this area by the previously approved revisions for
the Mine Access Road (MR03-184), Parking Area (MR07-220), and Security Installation (MR09-240).
This submittal includes revised PAP text and supporting materials, as identified by the attached Summary
of Revisions/Additions, and a project bond estimate. TCC would like to proceed with this project as soon
as possible, therefore we appreciate your consideration and cooperation in facilitating timely review and
approval. Once you have had opportunity to review the accompanying information, please feel free to
contact me with any questions or to discuss related matters.
Best regards,
Twentymile Coal Company
Jerry M.
