X000
?UIU
AU613 ?yo??,
or K?dr!
?nin9 ?
Sandra L. Brown
Senior Environmental Protection Specialist
Division of Reclamation
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215
Denver, Colorado 80203
RE: Western Fuels-Colorado, LLC Permit Revision 06
Dear Sandra L. Brown,
9 9
PIC.
August 10, 2010
Charly Wolney
PO Box 456
Paradox, Colorado
81429
Six years ago, I moved to this community from the Wyoming Girls' School. I was an
orphan, and the only folks I knew were the Wolney family. They welcomed me into their
home with open arms, and for the first time in my life I felt the warm embrace of love
and security. For the very first time, I knew what family felt like.
My father moved to this area for work after Big Horn Coal closed its doors. His position
at Western Fuels is our family's livelihood. Without it, my family would not have been
able to afford another child. I would still be an orphan.
My love for this community is unconditional. To see this place washed away like a
sandcastle on the beach would be heartbreaking. This is our home and the home of
hundreds of families and businesses dependant on the jobs provided by Western Fuels.
Where will we go if this mine is shut down?
My plead is brief, but my intent is truly heartfelt: please approve PR06.
Sincerely,
Charly Wolney
