Pineda <br /> Director <br />Victor; £olorado:80860 <br />Re:; Permit # M=1980-244, Cresson Project, AM #9, Request for changes in Soil Liner,Fi.ll ("SLF") % Fines <br />from the current 50% to 65 %. <br />Dear Mr. Comer, <br />The bivision ;has reviewed your request to change the percent fine specification from the 5-% to 65 %. <br />The'Dlvision has;revewed the additional supplemetal information that was requested after our meeting <br />on site on July 14 2010 from Dr. John Lupo, the design engineer for the project. <br />As part of tho,a'pproval, the Division and CC&V have agreed to increase the compaction. testing of the <br />SLF from the current 5,000 cubic yards to 4,000 cubic yards. The increased frequency of testing will be <br />applicable to aII:SLF; that is expected to be placed in the Phase V valley leach facility, until a satisfactory <br />length of time demonstration of the results are reviewed by the Division as part of the weekly QA/QC <br />submittal; and 4 written request to change the frequency is approved by the Division. <br />You may now. commence with the requested change in fines for the Soil Liner Fill.
