Horvath Pit No. 1, File No. M-1977-546, Technical Revision No.2 (TR2) Denial
Dear Mr. Lyman:
On July 20, 2010 the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (DRMS) denied your request for a Technical Revision (TR2)
for the Horvath Pit No. 1, addressing the following:
• To change the post-mining land use from pastureland to a gravel surfaced equipment storage site.
DRMS staff believes that changing the post-mined land use will have a significant effect on the approved Reclamation Plan,
and that this issue needs to be addressed through an Amendment to the permit. Please submit the proper application form
and associated exhibits to DRMS, along with the fee in the amount of $611.00, which is the difference between the 110c
Amendment Fee ($827.00) and the 110c Technical Revision Fee ($216.00).
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns at the DRMS Grand Junction Field Office, 101 South 3rd Street,
Room 301, Grand Junction, CO, 81501, Ph. 970.243.6299.
Sincerely,
a4Z ?
Dustin Czapla
Environmental Protection Specialist
Office of Office of
Mined Land Reclamation Denver • Grand Junction • Durango Active and Inactive Mines
