Pineda <br />Director <br />The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, Article 33, <br />Section 116, Paragraph 4, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on June 24, 2010, an application to revise coal <br />mining operations at the Yoast Mine was considered complete for the purposes of filing. The revision was <br />submitted by Seneca Coal Company, LLC. All review and comment periods as provided in the Act and the <br />Regulations initiate from this date of filing. <br />This technical revision application proposes changes and clarifications to the woody plant density standard for the <br />Yoast mine, including proposed standards for aspen reestablishment in specified locations. <br />The surface coal mining operation is on land located approximately 7 miles Southwest of Hayden, Colorado. The <br />permit area is further described as follows: <br />T6N, R87W, Portions of Sections 28, 29 and 32 <br />T5N, R87W, All of Section 17; Portions of Sections 5, 8, 16, 18, 19, 20, 29, 30 <br />Mt. Harris & Dunckley <br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle map of Mount Harris, Dunckley <br />& Mt. Harris. <br />The revision application and the currently approved permit application can both be viewed on laser fiche on the <br />DRMS website (http://www.mining.state.co.us/ImalZedDocuments.htm). The revised revegetation map and revised <br />revegetation plan narrative can be found in the revision index class, while the currently approved narrative and <br />map are in the permit file index class. To access the revision materials, click on the class, then scroll down to the <br />type and sequence and enter "TR48". <br />The applicant is required to publish notice in a local newspaper that this application has been deemed complete. <br />At the time of publication of this notice, the applicant is additionally required to place a copy of this application at <br />the Hayden Public Library, 201 E. Jefferson Avenue, Hayden, CO 81639-1813, and at the Division office.
