Responses are numbered in
the same order as the comments contained in these letters.
1. Per the February 22nd e-mail from Ms. Shina duVall, the SHPO has no further concerns.
2. Maps 53C and 54C have been expanded to cover the entire area of the disturbance
proposed in TR-120. See the revised maps attached.
3. Map 54C has been revised to reflect the drainage designs shown on drawing C-13 and
uses the standard symbols and line weights shown on MCC's other drainage maps.
4. No, the clear water ditches will not be directed to the sediment pond. As shown on
drawing C-13 and Map 54C, the clear water flows will be directed away from the pile by
diverting flows from the pile perimeter to the natural drainages below, to the west (along
the RPE East haul roads), as well as to the east.
5-12. Seethe attached March 19, 2010 responses from Ban- Engineering
13. MCC has revised paragraphs 9 and 10 on age 2.05-47 to refer to "permanent refuse
disposal areas", rather than each area individually.
14-22. See the responses e-mailed to Ms. Talvitie and you on March 9?' and the attached
March 19, 2010 responses from Barr Engineering.
Please feel free to contact me should you have further comments or questions regarding this
submittal.
Sincerely,
Kathleen G.
