This is a reduction of $259,500.00. This decision reduces the amount of the
financial warranty, and does not approve any release of reclamation responsibility for the tasks associated with
this request. The following stipulation applies to this approval:
When the permittee is ready to commence operations, an application will be filed for a surety increase
revision. That application will include an updated estimate of reclamation costs considering
prevailing labor, equipment, materials, etc. costs at the time of the application. Once the Division has
established the amount of financial warranty to be required, the surety increase revision will be
approved and the warranty can be posted. Mining may commence only when the Division has
notified the permittee in writing that the warranty has been accepted.
Please provide a rider to the current Financial Warranty, or submit a new Financial Warranty reflecting this
reduction. If you wish to submit a different type of Financial Warranty, please contact our office for the
applicable form.
If you have any questions, please contact me.
Sincerely,
Allen C.
