MANAGEMENT
By letter January 7, 2008, an application for a minor revision (MR-85) was sent to the DRMS for
the referenced wells. The DRMS has determined the revision should be processed as a
technical revision. On behalf of Bowie Resources, LLC, (BRL), please withdraw MR-85 from
further consideration. Enclosed is an application form and public notice for the referenced
technical revision. The DRMS should be able to use the MR-85 application materials for this
technical revision no. 53 application.
The following additional information regarding the technical revision application is provided.
1. The D-Seam must be essentially dry prior to undermining by the B-Seam.
2. The purpose of the monitoring well is to determine the nature, quality and extent of
water in the old D-Seam workings.
3. The dewatering well will be drilled if there is water in the D-Seam.
4. A pump powered by a diesel generated will be installed in the well.
5. A two to four inch diameter water line will be installed on the surface from the
dewatering well to Hubbard Creek. The dewatering line will need to be buried under
Hubbard Creek road.
6. The pumping rate will be about 100 gallons per minute.
7. The water will not need to be treated prior to discharge.
8. The CDPS discharge point for the ventilation shaft will be moved to the discharge
point for the dewatering well.
9. The dewatering well may have to be in service until mining is complete in the
northern mining district (3 to 4 years).
Sincerely,
J. E.
