W.W. ENTERPRISES
' Consulting Engineering
2115 9th Street, P.O. Box 1242, Limon, Colorado 80828 (7I9) 775-9314
4M
February 1, 2010
Project No. 09-1214
Mr. Michael A. Cunningham
Environmental Protection Specialist
Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety
Colorado Department of Natural Resources
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215
Denver, CO 80203
RE: Dill Pit; DRMS File No. M-2009-077; Review Period Extension Request
Dear Mr. Cunningham;
Per your October 21, 2009 Preliminary Adequacy Review letter and our
conversations, it is requested that the review period for the above referenced application
be extended an additional 60 days to April 4, 2010. We have been waiting to determine
the contractor that would be using the pit for the proposed highway overlay project that is
to begin this spring. The contractors that the owner has been talking to said that they
could acquire the needed permits to use the pit for the overlay project. The project goes
out to bid this Thursday. At that time we will know whether the contractor will use this
pit and get the needed permits for the overlay project. If the pit will supply the be used
for the overlay project, it will only be used for the overlay project for the duration of that
project. The owners will pursue their permit while the pit is being used for the overlay
project. If the pit is not to be used for the highway overlay project, the permit will be
finalized and resubmitted.
Please contact our office, if you have any questions concerning this information.
Respectfully;
WW Enterprises
r?
bony J. Wernsman, P.E.
