Cattany <br />Division Director <br />Natural Resource Trustee <br />The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, Article 33, <br />Section 118, Paragraph 3, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on January 20, 2008, an application to renew an <br />existing permit to conduct coal mining operations at the Terror Creek Loadout was considered complete for the <br />purposes of filing. All review and comment periods as provided in the Colorado Surface Mining Reclamation Act <br />and the Rules initiate from this date of filing. <br />Terror Creek Company proposes to continue Other coal mining and/or reclamation operations on land located <br />approximately 4 miles Northeast of Paonia, Colorado. The permit area is further described as follows: <br />Portions of Section 15, Township 13 South, Range 91 West of the 6th P.M. <br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle map of Bowie. <br />In Permit Renewal No. 5, The Terror Creek Company is proposing to continue coal loading operations at the <br />Terror Creek Loadout for another five year term. <br />A copy of the renewal application is available for public inspection at the Paonia Public Library, 140 Grand <br />Avenue, Paonia, CO 81428, the Delta County Planning Office, 501 Palmer Street, Delta, CO 81416, and at the <br />Division office.
