As of December 9, 2009, the application has met the minimum requirements
and is adequate for staff review. Division staff recently processed and approved a conversion application for File No. M-
1997-027. A bond calculation was completed in November 2009 as a part of the conversion process. Therefore the
required reclamation liability estimate of 32$ ,183.00 is accurate and up to date. The amount of $32,183.00 must be
submitted and accepted by the Division in order for both the Conversion (CN-01) and the Succession of Operator (SO-
02) to become active. Any questions regarding the financial and Performance Warranties should be directed to Elizabeth
Merry at (303) 866-3567, extension 8148.
If you need additional information, please contact me at the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety, Grand
Junction Field Office, 101 S. 3rd St., Suite 301, Grand Junction, Colorado 81501, telephone no. 970-241-2042.
Sincerely,
Travis Marshall
Environmental Protection Specialist, Grand Junction Field Office
Cc: Steve Shuey, DRMS
Elizabeth Merry, DRMS
Office of Office of
Mined Land Reclamation Denver • Grand Junction • Durango Active and Inactive Mines
